Privacy
Short version: we do not save your child's details or song on our server. During checkout, your browser saves a temporary copy so you do not lose your purchase. It can recover your purchase for up to 24 hours. The MyKidSongs website normally removes it after delivery or when you return after that time.
No account. Nothing to sign up for.
There is no login, no password, no profile. You do not give us an email address to use MyKidSongs. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to delete later, because there is no account holding it.
What happens to your child's details
You type in a few things: a name, an age, maybe a favorite animal or what makes them laugh. Those details are used once, to write the lyrics and record the song.
They are never stored and never logged on our server. There is no database of children. If you start checkout, your browser temporarily keeps the details you entered, the generated lyrics and song settings, the displayed checkout price, and purchase references on this device, and the campaign labels from the ad link you tapped, if any. The copy can recover your purchase for up to 24 hours. The MyKidSongs website normally removes it after the song is delivered, after you safely start a new song, or when you return after that time. In unusual cases, such as an incorrect date or time on the device, the copy may remain longer. If your browser blocks removal, the website warns you so you can clear this site's browser data. If payment or delivery is still unresolved, the website keeps the copy during that recovery period so you can finish or get help without starting another purchase.
What happens to the song
The recording is created and sent straight to your browser. We keep no copy. It lives on your own phone or computer until you save it or share it, and if you close the page without saving, it is simply gone. The temporary recovery record is not the MP3 and cannot let us send the recording again.
Who else touches the details
To make the song at all, the lyrics request has to go to two companies who do the actual work. We name them plainly:
- Anthropic writes the lyrics from the details you entered. Their privacy policy.
- ElevenLabs records the audio from those lyrics. Their privacy policy.
- Stripe handles the payment. We never see or store your card number. Their privacy policy.
That is the whole list. Nobody else gets the details.
No trackers. No ads. Nothing sold.
MyKidSongs carries no advertising trackers, no ad networks, and no third party pixel or advertising SDK. The company that hosts this website counts visits for us. It sets no cookie for that count and builds no profile of you across other websites. The next section gives the detail. We do not sell, rent, or trade information about you or your child. Not now, not later. That is not the business.
The honest technical bit
A few things are worth being straight about, because "we store nothing" should not hide the small print:
- Where the website runs. Vercel hosts MyKidSongs. Every page you open and every request you make goes through Vercel's computers. Their privacy policy.
- Visit counts from Vercel. Vercel counts visits for us. There is no cookie for the count, and your internet address is not stored: Vercel makes a hash of the request and discards it after 24 hours. Each record holds the page you viewed, the website you came from, and a location such as country, region, and city. The records are per visit, so we can see which pages people leave. There is no profile of you across other websites, and no third party pixel or SDK is loaded.
- Campaign labels from an ad link. An ad link can carry four labels: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and utm_content. They name the advertisement, not you, and each one must match a fixed pattern of ours (a source such as facebook, a medium such as cpc, one of our own campaign names, and an advertisement number); anything else in a link is dropped before it goes into the visit count or the payment record. Your browser keeps them for that tab and with the temporary purchase copy on this device, and we store them with the Stripe payment record so we can see which advertisement brought a purchase. They never contain your grandchild's details.
- A short-lived session cookie. When you open the site, the server sets one signed cookie. It exists only to stop robots from scraping our song service. It holds no name, no email, and nothing about your child, and it expires on its own.
- A temporary recovery copy on this device. If you begin checkout, your browser saves the entered details, generated lyrics and song settings, displayed checkout price, and purchase references so a refresh or closed tab does not lose an unfinished purchase. The copy can recover your purchase for up to 24 hours. The MyKidSongs website normally removes it after delivery, after you safely start a new song, or when you return after that time. In unusual cases, such as an incorrect date or time on the device, the copy may remain longer. If your browser blocks removal, the website warns you to clear this site's browser data. If payment or delivery is unresolved, the website keeps the copy during that recovery period so you can finish or get help without starting another purchase.
- Payment and recording status in Stripe. The status MyKidSongs stores with Stripe covers payment, one recording attempt, delivery, and refunds. It does not include the child's details, lyrics, or song. After 35 days, MyKidSongs stops using the attempt, result, and delivery status to authorize a recording. A Checkout reference remains for support, and Stripe may keep payment records under its own policy.
- Ordinary server logs. Like any website, our server records that something failed when it fails. Those logs record the error type only. Request contents are deliberately never written to them, so your child's details are not in there.
- A few files load from other companies. The page pulls its fonts from Google, its sound effects library from Cloudflare, and Stripe's payment script from Stripe. Loading a file from another company means your device asks them for it, so those companies can see your internet address and that you visited. When processor checkout is switched on, Stripe's script loads on the song page before the payment sheet can open. We do not use these files for advertising, and we do not intentionally send your child's name, details, or lyrics to Google, Cloudflare, or Stripe. When checkout begins, Stripe receives the price, the payment details you enter in Stripe's form, and purchase references needed to process and recover the payment.
Children
MyKidSongs is sold to and used by adults. A parent, grandparent, aunt, or family friend is the one typing, paying, and downloading. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and there is nothing on the site for a child to sign up for or log into.
Changes to this page
If we change how any of this works, we will change this page and update the date at the top. We are not going to quietly start keeping things.
